I believe I have a bladder infection (i have had them before). I can't see my doc until tuesday at the earliest and I really don't want to sit around in a drop-in clinic at the hospital when there are people far sicker than me.

Does anyone have a nice remedy or relief that I can use until I can see my GP? It is uncomfortable but not painful.

Thanks

Can you get AZO in the UK?

Drink plenty of water, and cranberry juice. The more you urinate the more bacteria you flush out of your bladder. Also there is a pill calle AZO that you can buy at most pharmacies or discount stores that will help make you more comfortable until you see your doctor. Hope you feel better soon!

In colour therapy I would recommend using yellow in the form of solarised water, yellow light, or yellow silk or cotton. Drape the cotton or silk over your pelvis. Yellow is cleansing and purifying and washes away poisons and toxins from the body. Look at your diet and make sure you are eating a variety of colours and not too much from one colour. Solarised water is water that has been imbued by a colour. So if you have a yellow piece of paper or filter, surround a small glass of water with it and allow it to sit in the sunlight for an hour or two to absorb the yellow energy, then drink. I hope this helps.

The only other thing you can do is to drink a lot of water until you can see your GP or you can try calling your dr's after hours line to find out if they are on call and let them know that you can't wait til Tues (if you are in a lot of pain right now that is).

A third option is to go in to your GP's office on Mon and let them know that you would like to try to be squeezed in to the schedule for that day because you are feeling quite uncomfortable and can't wait til the next day.

You can take cranberry capsules if you dislike the taste of the juice. Other herbs that might be helpful would be green tea extract (fights infection, plus the caffeine will make you pee more, helping to flush it out), garlic, grapefruit seed extract (although it tastes terrible), oil of oregano (infection fighter, may cause you to get a yeast infection and make you feel warm), and maybe echinacea.
