I'm afraid but someone has to make the rules or we would all live in anarchy. I would be great if there were a government in power that made the right changes which would benefit everybody but none of the present government choices are going to do that. Incidentally we would then be living in utopia.

Till we find something better than the current way of doing things in this thing we call "democracy"! I remember thinking exactly this for the first time when we went to war with Iraq despite the fact every single opinion poll I saw was against it!

Until we get people into politics with the ability and will to do something different but that means we'll probably have to redefine Government and we won't like that. We know what we've got, something different will be strange. Humans, as a rule, fear that which they don't understand.
