Because he lived in Germany, at a time when the Nazi Party was slowly gathering power. For all his faults and madness, he was very charismatic, and had a good strategic mind.He was therefore able to convince the Party leadership to make certain moves that were successful, and so moved up in the party to eventually become Chancellor of Germany, when he was in a position to start implementing Nazi "reforms".

Who advised you he "invaded" Austria? i provides you with a short precis of Germany heritage, you word what human beings call Germany now has replaced a lot it truly is genuinely extremely complicated to say who's 'German' and who isn't, Austria traditionally grow to be area of the Holy Roman Empire of the German us of a which grow to be each and each of the self sustaining German states interior of correct Europe alongside with Bavaria, Prussia, etc etc after this collapsed in 1806 an element referred to as the German Confederation grow to be created which Austria had ruled and through the middle an ideology referred to as Pan-Germanism began to upward push up which grow to be wide-spread as German dualism between Austria and Prussia, neither of them might want to come to a decision on how Germany grow to be going to be unified right into a geographical area, in 1866 the Prussians effectively defeated the Austrians and Austria grow to be no longer allowed to affix the German Empire in 1871. After the Austrian Hungary Empire ended Austria followed the call "German Austria" and grow to be hoping to merge with the German Republic despite the indisputable fact that the Treaty of Versailles did not enable this and strictly forbid the union, in 1938 the Anschluss grow to be voted and welcomed by the Austrians and in spite of the actual undeniable truth that it violated the Versailles, Austria grow to be formally and legally area of Germany. Hitler grow to be born Austrian by nationality no longer German yet he grow to be nevertheless an ethnic German born contained in the Austria-Hungary Empire, him like many different Austrians might want to have seen themselves German first, then Austrian, a diverse nationwide identity did not exist until eventually after 1945 because it grow to be undesirable to be wide-spread as "German" and grow to be an uncomplicated way for the Austrians to flee the crimes and guilt of Nazi Germany.

I can't remember who it was, but one of Hitler's stooges in the Nazi Party fabricated documents that made Hitler a German citizen. That allowed him to operate in German politics and gain the appointment of Chancellor.

HISTORY OF ADOLF HITLER:
Adolf Hitler (1889 - 1945)
Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler, military and political leader of Germany 1933 - 1945, launched World War Two and bears responsibility for the deaths of millions, including six million Jews in the Holocaust.
Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889 in Braunau-am-Inn on the Austrian-German border. His father was a customs official. Hitler left school at 16 with no qualifications and struggled to make a living as a painter in Vienna. This was where many of his extreme political and racial ideas originated.
In 1913, he moved to Munich and, on the outbreak of World War One, enlisted in the German army, where he was wounded and decorated. In 1919 he joined the fascist German Workers' Party (DAP). He played to the resentments of right-wingers, promising extremist 'remedies' to Germany's post-war problems which he and many others blamed on Jews and Bolsheviks. By 1921 he was the unquestioned leader of what was now the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP or Nazi Party).
In 1923 Hitler attempted an unsuccessful armed uprising in Munich and was imprisoned for nine months, during which time he dictated 'Mein Kampf' outlining his political ideology. On his release he began to rebuild the Nazi Party and used new techniques of mass communication, backed up with violence, to get his message across. Against a background of economic depression and political turmoil, the Nazis grew stronger and in the 1932 elections became the largest party in the German parliament. In January 1933 Hitler became chancellor of a coalition government. He quickly took dictatorial powers and began to institute anti-Jewish laws. He also began the process of German militarisation and territorial expansion that would eventually lead to World War Two. He allied with Italy and later Japan to create the Axis.
Hitler's invasion of Poland in September 1939 began World War Two. After military successes in Denmark, Norway and Western Europe, but after failing to subdue Britain in 1941, Hitler ordered the invasion of the Soviet Union. The Jewish populations of the countries conquered by the Nazis were rounded up and killed. Millions of others whom the Nazis considered racially inferior were also killed or worked to death. In December 1941, Hitler declared war on America. The war on the eastern front drained Germany's resources and in June 1944, the British and Americans landed in France. With Soviet troops poised to take the German capital, Hitler committed suicide in his bunker in Berlin on 30 April 1945.
