Why do people do this?

Question

Today I have seen about a dozen vehicles driving around displaying the flag of Mexico and I was wondering why do they do this?
Why have so much pride in a Country which doesn't want them and has never done anything for them and spit on the only Country that ever has?
Why do these people hate America so much and give their loyalty to Mexico when they are living here with their families and are able to provide for them with all that we as a Nation have to offer?
And I have seen some pretty incredible accidents today as well by these proud people of Mexico.
One of them drove their car into a grocery store just minutes before I walked by and another drove their mini van into a traffic light.
Both appeared to be alcohol related.
Is that really necessary as well?
I'm not racist I just would really like to understand why do they do this?
Why do they hate us so much and pledge their love to a Country which has forsaken them?

Westhill I never said that I didn't want them in my country so don't put words in my mouth.
They chose to betray America of their own free will and I have nothing to do with it.
I welcome anyone to America as I am only 2nd generation and would never say I didn't want anyone to come here looking for a better life.
And as for their country throwing them to the curb and not doing anything for them what do you think depriving them of a decent living is called?
A very good friend of mine migrated from Mexico and told me how bad it is so I know more about it than you think.
But trying to twist my words and add a different meaning to them is really not going to work.
But that's the usual tactic of a Liberal.
Avoid the subject by trying to change it.

Starspa 2 months wages for a flag?
Usually the mother is on welfare,and both her and her husband work jobs under the table and don't pay payroll taxes.And then to top it off they have other family members living with them such as Grandma to help with baby sitting and Uncles and Brothers and etc. to pool their money together and send money back to relatives in Mexico and buy expensive cars and so forth.
Not all of them do this,but the majority of them do.So being poor I don't think so.I've known too many to know better.

Flying a state flag indicates ones loyalty to that state. In AMerica we should only fly the american flag.

If we are so loyal that we want to fly another state flag we should move there and show our loyalty by doing so.

These people are mocking AMerica, they come here and take advantage of our freedoms and then mock us publicly.

and it should not be allowed, it is as far as I can tell, not a supported "right"

if you want to try an experiment on how this is selectively enforced, try flying a nazi germany flag anywhere and see what happens.

I agree with what you said in your question. They fly Mexican flags because they ARE proud of their country...Mexico and do not want to be a citizen of the U.S. Some have become citizens to better their cause ut do not plan on it lasting. They want to take their land back from the U.S. that they feel we stole from them. They have been working for years on a unified plan to retake the land in question. Americans better wake up and see what is happening. There are about 10 or 11 million already here that can be counted, not including the millions who are here illegally.

The tone of your post indicates that you are an American who does not want Mexican immigrants in the US and then you wonder they still have loyalty to Mexico. If you think about this a little longer, you will figure it out.

You also assume that Mexico has "forsaken" the immigrants and "never done anything for them". It is not as personal as that, it's economic. If there were more job opportunities in Mexico, many people would return.

The flag waving no longer surprises me. This is an era of flag waving. Consider the pride US Southerners have in the Confederate flag which stands for a nation which ceased to exist nearly 150 years ago. Consider the stage sets whenever politicians appear on TV and the 6 or 8 giant US flags carefully arranged behind them.

Well there is good and bad with every one. I think the Flag thing is fine, it's cool. Not working, paying taxes and draining my State (California) of slim resources cripples our citizens and businesses. I am ONLY speaking of the ILLEGALS. My best friend is a 2nd generation AMERICAN fro MEXICA here legally and happy about it.
I wonder, dooes the guy who wants to get the land back that was stolen from them? Remember a guy named Cortez the Killer? Clean up your own house before you trash mine..

They think they are entitled to land that was legally taken from them.

As far as the whole flag thing, they are just proud of thier country, I guess. If they want to live in this country, however, that's something they need to get over if they want to become a US citizen....

Maybe they love the US and Mexico.

As a Republican, it's not often I get to say this, but you do sound pretty prejudiced. I see tons of flags from many different countries. People often take pride in the country of their ancestors (or the country they recently left).

Or maybe I should throw away my "Kiss Me I'm Irish" shirt before someone declares me unpatriotic. Or maybe I should hate Ireland forever because of that damn potato famine.

If all you know about the people in those cars is that they had Mex flags on them, how do you assume that they HATE America?

may 5th is a mexican national holiday called cinco de mayo it's even celebrated by many americans , i agree with what your saying about lots of illegal immegrants bitching about america ,if it's so bad here they really should go i agree
