I tried googling this, but to no avail. I have had several people recommend it, saying that the purer types have some kind of anti-bacterial properties. Any references would be appreciated.

Anything that works should be ok as long as you know it won't deteriorate condoms; causing unwanted bacteria isn't an issue, if the body cavity is cleansed properly---which should be done anyway. But, cleansing can rid the tissues of a proper Ph level and ALL bacteria....even GOOD bacteria.
IF you must use things like coconut oil (which might be a good lubricant)..the woman should cleanse well anyway.. Then, she should always follow up with the use of plain yogurt to ward off bad bacteria (infection)---which if not treated, like a decaying tooth, could definitely cause unpleasant body odor---if nothing else!....
The way to use plain yogurt:
Plain yogurt (with GOOD bacteria) is 'shoveled' into the vaginal area to prevent infection.from the BAD bacteria. This is better for the woman's health because it's natural and ADDS "good bacteria" to the tissues that have been depleted of them by cleansing or the use of antibiotics.
[This is a great treatment to use when on a high-spectrum antibiotic (which rids the body of all bacteria and notoriously causes yeast infections in women.) ]

it is very much safe and gives good lubrication, but dont over do masturbation. just do once a week. Excessive masturbation is very bad for health. Excessive masturbation is the main reason for Pre-Ejaculation/ erection problem. Swpandosh or nightfall problem also occurs due to excessive masturbation (daily masturbation comes in the category of excessive masturbation). Excessive masturbation can cause weak body, cheeky face, weak eye sight, graying of hair, less weight, fatigue, general weakness, constipation, less appetite, non-erection, low libido, nightfall and many more. During teenage, masturbation can be done once a week after that it should not be done more than 2-3 times a week till marriage. The vitality and vigour lost due to excessive masturbation cannot be regained back by medicines or food etc. Good luck and God bless you

You shouldn't use any type of oil on a mucous membrane because it can cause an bacterial infection. The lining of your vagina would not be able to cleanse itself with the natural secretions as easily.
