In this technological modern world people in general buy less informative reading, because you can now get almost every information you need online. The internet has made it easier, and therefore more interesting to get new information, so more people now search for answers than before. Many newspapers have an online edition aswell, so people that don't buy it read the news anyway. The only thing the internet can not replace, is books. Even if it was possible, you would most likely prefer to have a book in your hand, instead of reading it on a screen.
So to sum up: internet has not killed reading habbits. It has improved them, and it stead of not reading books anymore, people go to amazon.com to buy them :)

No I read a lot but I like the internet because it gives an opportunity for conversation and it provokes thought.

I dislike the answers on here where someone cuts and pastes a big chunk from Wikipedia.

If you can't express an opinion succinctly then perhaps you need to think more.

Well, "express in 100-200 words only" tells me you're trying to have us do your homework for you.

I do think the Internet has radically changed reading habits. I used to read books constantly. I don't do that any more.

That said, I also remember when students used to do their own homework, rather than post it to the nation hoping someone would do it for them.

No I dont think so, If anything we have at least twice as much if not more to read because of the internet. For people who are prepared to read or somewhat curious about their world and lets face it there are a lot of people who are curious about their world an do read. As far as i am concerned we are in the INFORMATION AGE where there is more than enough Information in the world to be aware of within a short time frame and I study social work.(Just this answering website makes you read)

Not for me it hasn't as I still read an average of 1 book every 2 weeks. I also spend time on the net and reading through Answers etc.

Of course not, it has no connection to make, on net too you read and in books too. In fact, Internet has made us to read more, when you search anything on search engines there are so many things how do u justify which one is appropriate for you, only when you read. Internet has made it easy than the books.
I know many people who are lovers of reading, they go home keep reading on net and during traveling, at office & leisure read news papers, various books. In all man cannot stick only to books and papers net has made it easy to some change in reading.

I don't think so, for some people like myself it increased my reading habits, and I have gained a complete Cisco certification track through reading from the PC and through the internet.

However, still there is a different taste when reading from a book..

Cheers

It's pretty much killed my reading habit. Interesting. I guess I should start reading books again.

I rather think that it was television that did so.

The internet might even stimulate an urge to read.
