The size was a couple inches not huge but not small either.
it could be a coyote but theres no wolfs out here. I dont think it would be a domestic dog because I doubt anyone walks there dogs out their. It does look a little small to be a bear unless it was cub???or a cougar lol

I would go with some kind of dog: the track is not so broad compared to its length.

When taking pictures like this it is always a good idea to put an object (a pen knife or ruler for example) so that the viewer has a scale for comparison.

Addition: a couple of inches. Probably coyote then.

Judging by your pictures I would say something canine. If it's a couple inches long I would say fox or coyote. It can't be a bear because a. the print isn't long enough, b. there are no bears with two inch feet, and c. bears have five digits. It can't be a cat (like cougar or lynx or something) because cat claws are retractible and don't show up in there prints. Badgers, raccoons and other small mammals of that sort have five digits too. It's a dog print of some kind, my guess is coyote or domestic dog.

to analyze paw prints you have to look for certain stuff. amount of toe prints, size of it, shape of the paw pad. you didn't leave measurements but im going to have to agree with other people that it looks to be a type of feline print. wouldn't be a bear or something with very large claws because there are no claw markts.

it *might* be a wolf or coyote depending on your area, but isn't as likely as a feline, whose claws withdraw unlike canines.

It was kind of hard to tell, but I think it looked like a bear's print more than anything.

That is a bear print. Cat and dog prints have digits that are closer together.
