I don't have a party I'd call "my party." But I am much more likely to vote republican than democrat.
I am looking for a candidate who is a fiscal conservative and for small government.
Ron Paul has caught my attention at the moment.
George Bush is a major disappointment for me. Too many republicans are becoming big spenders.
But I also diagree with the Republicans on social issues. I don't have any desire to have a ban on gay marriage. I think the "war on drugs" should only focus on hard drugs. I wouldn't mind if marijuana was legalized. I wouldn't even mind if prostitution was legalized as long as it was closely regulated.

I'm in the middle. I don't consider myself liberal or conservative because I find both ideologuies flawed. My political party is Libertarian and the party oficially states we are neither liberal nor conservative, a mixture of both. My party supports the legalization of all drugs which I find a bit extreme. A world where every illegal drug is legal and acessible can lead to many screw-up people. I support medical marijuana because it has been proven to actually do good and I think it will be positive. Overall, I would say I'm a fiscal conservative but not social conservative.

These are parties? Isn't it possible to be a liberal Republican or a conservative Democrat, part of an extremist or independent party?
Both parties are about continuous fundraising, including when the president is in office. It kind of bothers me that 2 years in, he's already starting to raise money for the next election. Campaign finance reform was a great idea, but it tells you the real powers that be didn't want it.
We're a business driven country to the point of it costing lives, and Cheney is like DeNiro's character in "Casino" who moves around and stays behind the scenes but places himself in positions of power and influence.
Also know who you're electing into Congress.

Mostly comservative, particularly on security issues. On fiscal policy I'm pragmatic. I support any policy that helps our economy. On social issues it varies with the issue. I have no fundamental problem with any stem cell research, I just think our efforts should focus on what is known to work 7 that is not embryonic stem cells. Until there is more reason for optimism there, I think we should limit that to animal experiments. On gay marriage/civil union/whatever, I don't care what people want to call themselves. On abortion, I htink every abortion is a tragedy. I a small fractiojn of cases it is the lesser tragedy. If the fetus is potentially viable outside the womb, I think abortion is murder. I accept the theory of evolution.

I am a liberal thinker, open to new ideas, and disgusted by the status quo. I do not have a "party".
I believe in the fact that we are made in the image and likeness of our creator, and that we should strive for perfection, love and peace, not for being the lowest common denominator! I don't believe that "we are only human" is an excuse for wars, murders, retribution, or for not trying to be the best possible "humans" we can be!

I am Moderate, although I tend to agree more with Democrats than Republicans. I agree and disagree with both parties, and at many times, I think both political parties are out for themselves and their pockets.

Liberal, 99% of the time.
I do feel that illegal immigration should be curbed in a big way as the erosion of the middle class is palpable, along w/ the erosion of the "safety nets" such as Medicare/caid, SSI, education, etc. which are attended for those who have paid into them. I believe we can't keep America strong with borders as porous as ours.
I consider this issue bi-partisan as I know many liberals and conservatives who feel this way...it's our leadership who is doing nothing about it (on both sides of the aisle).
