you answered your own question it's a C major chord with an added G which might be a twelfth or some just call it a modal chord when the succession of dominant subdominant and seventh ;1,4,5 are played sharing common notes .

It is still a C. There are many ways and many postions to play the same chord on the guitar. If you can stretch your fingers far enough, you can also play a C chord like this: 875558, or 8 10 10 9 8 8. It's just different ways of playing a C chord. the same is true for any chord.
