Yes, this is fine. Most turtes actually prefer to sleep in water. I'm assuming that this is a aquatic turtle. If it's not then this is bad but if it is then you're fine.

I'm not sure how much you know about turtle care, so I'll just start with the basics: You need to supply them with some sort of platform so that they can get out of the water should they want to. Turtles are only semi-aquatic and do need to breathe air, but they can hold their breathe for about 20minutes at a time. So as long as you give them the option of leaving the water, if they still choose to float, they're probably OK.

there are extra suitable than probable some the clarification why your turtles are like this and maximum could be regarded after undemanding first, a turtle wont prefer to consume or swim lots if the water is purely too chilly , the water ought to be 26C / 80F 2nd, have they have been given a basking section (a place to come returned out the water in to heat temperature and uv) they like a uv bulb and warmth lamp over a basking section for there shells to be healthful and save the turtle healthful third, seems such as you have the incorrect nutrition , flow get some turtle pellets from the puppy keep ..allso the shrimp power feels like a bad concept so dont placed that for the period of there water and the tank is a few distance to small for any length turtle , could you be satisfied in case you have a foot to stroll after which you had to coach returned and do this returned ?

As long as they don't sleep floating in the water "upside down," then it's okay...
Take very good care of them...they rely on you to have a wonderful baby turtle life...

Most aquatic turtles sleep in the water... that's where they would be safest from predators... of course captive turtles will sometimes start to sleep on their basking area, but there's a lot of instinct in these animals, and just because you know it's safe in it's cage, doesn't necessarily mean it does.

Yes. I have had two turtles (red eared sliders) for the last three years, and they sleep floating in the water. It is what aquatic tutles do.

if your talking about box turtles i dont think they are sleeping, they may have drowned, as they are land turtles who need a little water to soak in and drink, but they have to be able to climb out the water bowl on to a dry surfice, please reply
