In the boy scouts, we took a 20 mile hike.

I didn't have a canteen with water. LOL had to use other peoples.

Guess I just wasn't prepared huh??

so I left the boy scouts.

Not including a sleepover, nine miles.

*Hilly, wooded terrain.

*We all ran out of water on the way back.

*I carried my (ex) wife's pack, and one of the kids, while she carried our other child during the last two or three miles.

*Everyone else slept until we drove to a Mexican restaurant.

*After we gorged ourselves, everyone else slept on the drive home (another hour), and we never went hiking as a family again.

Five days in the White Mountains in New Hampshire-- the "live free or die" state... we covered about 28 miles (three long days, two short days all on steep terrain) and stayed overnights in AMC huts. Absolutely amazing.

Down to the Grand Canyon, then the white water raft ride and then to angel pass, to the falls, then we camped the night
and then walked back to the south rim..Then back to our hotel before taking the train back to Verdi or Clarksville. How far is that.?
