I stand up for something I believe in everyday that I go to work. I am a hospice nurse and have the honor and privilege to serve the needs of those people who are dying and their loved ones. I have one nurse in a nursing home that I go too that has told me that I am using too much morphine on my patients when they are in pain. She even told me that I was committing "legal" murder. I told her that human beings have the right to die with dignity and as pain free as possible. She asked me how I could sleep at night and I told her I slept very well knowing that I was there at the end for the people I serve, that I comforted their loved ones and made certain that when they left this world for the next they did so pain free and with dignity.

I always stand up for what I believe in when it comes to my 2 beautiful children. My ex-husband can't figure out why I won't let the kids stay at his new place when he has just moved in with the woman who wrecked and destroyed my marriage. He had an affair with her almost 12 months ago and now they are living together. I won't let her touch my kids when I know nothing about her. And I will stand up for them until I am six feet underground & in a pine box! I struggle to get the point across to him because he is so stupid and only thinks with one thing.....Men DO NOT have the maternal instincts that women have....

About five minutes ago. I usually do get my point across because I have studied Bibles much longer and with more scholarly intent then about 90% of the Christians on Y/A.
