Your car has a fuel tank that will hold 17.1 gallons, or 64.6 liters.

Assuming that the light came on at 1/8th tank full, then the simple math is divide 17.1 by 8 and you get 2.14 gallons.

This is absolute. In reality, you would probably have about 1.5 gallons usable before you start walking.

BTW, gasoline is used to cool the fuel pump. if you run the tank empty a lot, you risk burning out that pump prematurely.

Look in your owner's manual.

In some cars, a warning sounds when there is enough gas to go 50 miles, and a light comes on when there is 25 miles worth of fuel left. In my Lincoln Towncar, that translated into almost three gallons for the first warning and just over 1 gallon when the second warning is given.

YMMV

I think it something like 2 gallons. Check in the owners manual and it should say.

You are going to need the gas anyway, so why not have it in the tank? I always try to keep at least a minimum of a quarter of a tank. You never know when you might have to go somewhere in a hurry and not have time to stop for gas, or have the time to hitchhike to a gas station to get a gallon of gas. Try that and then you don't have to worry about the light.

Typically you'll have a good 15-30 miles, depending on traffic, driving speed, and other factors in fuel consumption. It turns on when you have about 2-3 gallons.

Enough to get to a gas station.
About 10 miles.
There's about 2 gallons, but you don't want to push it to fumes. Tow services are expensive AND you very likely will get a ticket if you block traffic. Not worth going more than 10 miles.

Roughly 1/8 of a tank.

About half of what you need to get to the next gas station, especially when you are way out in the boonies. The manual for my Camry says not to trust the gauge below a quarter of a tank.

I don't know much about cars, but my husband does! He says you have about one gallon left when your fuel light goes on.
