They all hurt in different ways. Grief really sucks..it's a great loss to you- the wonder of "what could have been"....embaressment is highly troubling because it makes you look at yourself in a different perspective...but I'd have to say guilt. It will eat you alive and it's all because of something you did (or so it seems to you). It can be avoided and corrected though! It's a tough thing to correct yourself of guilt but it's also a good measure of your own morals and decency.

I totally understand what you're going thru, and the feelings and emotions you are experiencing are real and normall. I remember when my brother died, and what my parents went thru. This is even more difficult, as it's not normal. A parent should outlive the child, so it's more difficult when death doesn't come this way. I thought my parents would never recover. They felt sadness and guilt for a long time, but eventually got better, it took them talking about it all the time. I feel for you, this is such a difficult thing, one can't stay in the grief stage forever tho, the Lord didn't make us this way. Pretty soon we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and that's ok. This might be the hardest thing you ever go through, but you can make it. Pray and ask the Lord to help you.

grief. I had a very close friend to me die unexpectedly and I didn't sleep for days. He was one of those friends that are so rare, so wonderful and a joy to be around... you just always thought he would always be there.
I have never felt embarrassment or guilt as painful as I felt grief.

good question

Grief.

Guilt is a feeling you get when you do something wrong, and you admit it to yourself. It is usually temporary if you never do that again.

Embrassment is also temporary. While it may be intense for a short while, it fades.

Grief can last a lifetime. . .

Grief, most definitely. I'd rather have the hell beat out of me than suffer grief. It truly sucks.
