To take care of my dad, he passed away in feb I was going to go back to work but then I found out I was pregnant and has some complications to where I am not able to go back to work. I had been working here for two years would I be eligable for unemployment?

No, unemployment is not for people who voluntarily leave their job.

you wont be eligible for unemployment but you can try to get benefits diversion that is when they give you a lump sum and help you find a way to supplement your income until you can go back to work you have to apply at the local unemployment agency

You can always try. You might be able to because it's kind of concidered a medical leave that you are on. I don't know how far you can get on it because when you are fired or layed off, they require you to look for a job, but since you are unable to work.... I would just go apply and see what they tell you.

It's possible.

I left work due to complications w/ pregn. and after I was going to return to work they had replaced me w/ a few people, so I was able to get unemployment till I could find a job.

In my case the company tried to fight it because they thought it was against them, but if its due to medical leave you can have a no-fault claim.

Oh yeah, the person below was right.. you have to be able to look for a job and take it to get the unemp.

you should still eligible for disability (maternity), not unemployment. it depends on which state are you in?

yes you can don't ask me how but i have done it... go to the the local dept of labor and they will assist you in this process.
