You might get pulled over, but I doubt it.

Get to the dealer Monday morning, and they will just issue you another 30 day tag. My new truck took 5 weeks, for some reason. But I got another temp tag in the mean time.

If the broking has no longer got here across you a financing economic corporation yet, meaning you in no way have been given authorized for the non-public loan! you do not have your perminant plates yet, by fact the broking won't and can't check in a automobile until eventually the lien holder (financing economic corporation) information is despatched alongside with the registration information. the broking won't difficulty yet another temp, by fact it relatively is relatively against the regulation to take action. In NJ and long island if a broking is caught issuing a 2d temp they could be locate $10,00 in step with extra temp issued. your considerable recourse at this element is to deliver lower back the motor vehicle to the broking and cancel the deal. whether in case you try this they might value a utilization fee for the time you have had the motor vehicle. in the event that they are starting to be to be you financed then circulate to the broking in any case and locate out what they might do for i.e. supply you a loaner automobile or condominium until eventually they have your plates obtainable. if that doesnt paintings call between the information channels help lines ( 7 on your part) (disgrace disgrace disgrace) and positioned the broking prompt! in case you get a cost ticket for expired temp or the motor vehicle gets towed, if the broking IS respected they could pay for any rates that have been inccured.

Yes you can. It is the same as expired tags.
You can chance it as long as you have a clean record and if pulled over, explain the problem to the officer. If you recieve a ticket anyway, you can present evidence of your new tags in court and most judges will dismiss it. Sometimes just a phone call will do it.
Make sure your insurance is current and you have proof of it with you.

The cops will usually let you slide, so don't worry. If you do get pulled over, then just explain it to the cops and they will tell you to get another temporary from the dealer. So Monday you can call the dealer or the DMV and see where the plates are. good luck and congratulations on the new car.

We have a couple of crooked dealers here who sell temp tags so people don't have to register their cars. Therefore, our cops look closely at temp tags. If you get a ticket, you'll usually have about two months until your court date. Get your tags, take proof to court and you won't be out anything.

Keep your bill of sale in the car with you for proof that it isn't the seventh or eighth temp tag you've had on it.

If you get pulled over and get a ticket, you can take it to the judge with the new plates and he/she will dismiss it. Problem is that you'll have to pay court costs.
