how do ppl make their own pics cartoon?

i noticed a lot of ppl on myspace are turning their pics into cartoon pics...how do they do that???

You can do it with some paint programs, like Paint Shop Pro. I reccomend it. It's expensive, but it's the best thing out there.
It's a corel product. Google it, and the site'll come up. You can even try it free. (You can keep it forever if you remember to set your date back. Just don't set it back to the day before you got it or it'll mess it up. I should know.)

Use Corel Painter or Photoshop. Then you trace over the picture and fill in the colors. I use a Wacom Tablet, which makes it much easier. Corel Painter is pretty expensive (about $420), but you can get a free 10-day trial at their website. It takes a good hour to complete a picture.
