I think that this is specialized glass because it does not crack too easly and when the rock hit the car windshield, the car windhield did not shadder, it just had a hole engraved in it.

If you can get this fixed without changing the entire windshield, approximatley how much would it be

if you had to get the windshield replaced about how much would this be.

this is specialized glass just so u know

Look for glass repair. There are allot of people that fix problems just like yours. Usually its around 25 to 30 bucks and you got to do it soon before it gets to much dirt in it.

I have seen a super glue like material used. heres a home remedy... Did you get a small chip or crack in your windshield? Like most people who don't get it fixed it is either because you cannot afford a new windshield or the deductable on your insurance to get the windshield replaced. There is a do-it-yourself fix that can help prevent it from spreading. Take clear nail polish and carefully paint the crack on both the inside and outside of the glass. Allow to dry in the sun. The outside may need to be redone every month or so depending on how much rain and windshield wiper use goes over the crack. You can redo the inside at the same time if you wish. This fix won't make the crack or chip "disappear" but it will help keep the crack from spreading across your entire windshield and will help keep a chip from spidering on the windshield.

Glass repair can be done for stone chips and short cracks, under $50, the exact amount depends on the size of the repair and whether their is more than one spot. They say they can now repair cracks up to 6 inches. A replacement windshield can be anywhere fro $200 on up. My old car had an $850 windshield, not incuding labour. It is a good idea to get glass insurance if you don't have a low comprehensive deductible on your car.

i don't think that it is specialized glass, manufactures make windshields pretty shatter resistant and they are designed to absorb quite a bit of punishment. If you have a stone chip in the windshield, you can fill it by going to an auto parts store and getting a Windshield Repair kit.

There are repair shops that will repair the glass. Look in the yellow pages. Some states, like KY has zero deductible for auto glass. So no matter what deductible you have on your insurance, it will still cost you nothing to get it replaced.

Check with your insurnace commpany to see what the rule is in your state. good luck.

i own a shop and as long as its doesn't have a crack going in any direction in the glass they can repair it,but if its started to crack there's very little they can do with it,good luck with it.
