Your pick of 4th of July is ludicrous.

First, it is called INDEPENDENCE DAY, not the 4th of July.

Just like you said, "u get to drink and blow stuff up", the extreme amount of ignorance surrounding what we are celebrating is incredible. Kids think the holdiay is about food and fireworkks.

Did you know it is celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence?

Do you know who the signers of the Declaration of Independence were? (Or, can you name five of them?) It is so sickening to watch Americans celebrate Independence Day when few of them know what the day is all about.

Today, taxpayers are slaves to nontaxpayers. We have slavery today--tax slavery. Yet, Americans are celebrating???

Today, we have politicians of both parties selling this nation out to the lowest bidder. We send billions of taxpayer $$$ to "tsunami victims" yet the government charges interest to Americans to take out a loan to clean up after the hurricanes.

Bush promises to "go after nations that sponsor terror", supposedly to protect our freedom, yet instead of putting the hurt on Iran and Syria who sponsor terror, he chases thugs house-to-house in Baghdad getting 3000 + soldiers killed and this does not do squat to stop nations that sponsor terror.

Neither the Democrat nor Republican "leaders" do what is in the USA's interest, but continue to throw away billions of taxpayer dollars toward nations that hate us.

You will be "drinking beer and blowing things up" on Independence Day, right? Well guess what, you SHOULD be revolting in the streets overthrowing the anti-Americans of both parties in Washington. What will you be celebrating, exactly? You should be outraged what this nation is doing to destroy our country.

Ignoring reality is killing this nation. You are either ignorant of the facts of what is happening, or you are apathetic of those facts--this is why you "celebrae" on Independence Day and do not revolt instead.

Chew on that while you stuff hot dogs down your throat and guzzle beer on Independence Day.

I would have said Christmas 3 years ago. Now, I too say 4th of July. My miracle baby was born July 2nd and we brought her home on the 4th. I have her convinced that the fireworks are for her birthday! ;)

Divali- food, sweets, new clothes, fireworks, lights and decorations everywhere!

also, 4th of July...Independence day is FAKE! this country is so screwed up right now...and u wanna celebrate?! umm, fyi..slavery in america aint abolished...it still exists...we just live in a world of ignorance where people became ignorant to what really goes on. bush lied, and many died. we need to worry more about bringing the troops home instead of letting them get depleaded with uranium deposits. lets just stop this nonsense, raciist war already...its gotta end! btw, what will i be doin on so called, "independence day"? imma be burning american flags because this country was never free to begin with, and im ashamed of the american flag now...the whole world is so screwed up right now!
