Good managers know that you should never tell anyone how to do their job. You need to agree on the results you want, and leave it up to the other person to figure out how they will accomplish it.
There was a manager who showed up to work from 8:00 to 9:00 and made phone calls, then went to a casino across the street for the rest of the day. His boss wondered what he should do, and asked the board of directors. They asked if his department was doing a good job, and they were. He asked if his people were unhappy, and they weren't. They asked if his customers were angry, but his customers loved him. The board suggested that the boss should go hire 10 other managers like the guy who can do his job in one hour per day.
Agree on what the outcome should be, and let other people find the best way to get there. Of course, if they ask for help, you should jump at the chance.

Because no one likes to be judged. Or told what to do.
Being given orders makes you feel Inferior........Being the one that gives the order makes you feel Superior.
