No, I don't think there is an obligation. But it is a very nice gesture on an individual basis. Just be careful. Some single, fatherless women are more than capable of taking care of themselves. Don't allow yourself to be taken advantage of.

I do not think so..I would not trust a stranger trying to give me money...come on this Q has not a ring of truth to it...rides..or money..why don't you give to battered womens shelters..or a charity..otherwise this seems very odd.
