Artimus Pyle - percussion on "Sweet Home Alabama," drums on "Freebird" 2006. One off performance.

You said March 13 2006. That would be Bob Burns (whom was orignal drummer, also on original recording). Artimus took over drums, and Freebird was rerecorded (with Steve Gaines on the guitar ) {thats the one with the long guitar solo}.
After the plane crash Artimus Pyle played 1 more time (when the rest of the members of lynard skynard w/ Johnny on vocals) done a tribute tour, but after the anouncement that Lynard Skynard would continue. Artimus said he would be no part. Bob retook over on drums.
