I don't understand why some people seem to live to cause others emotional pain?
It's like they aren't even thinking, or that the world is their ball to kick, like we don't have feelings, and they can't think past thier own ego.
I understand that we all have issues, but these people think they can do no wrong.

I mean, we aren't the ones to judge
we don't know what they have gone through to build them into that person unless we walked a mile in their shoes, but there should come a time in everyones life when you wake up, and tell yourself that it is time to let the anger and resentment go, and think about all the people in their life that they hurt, just because they were hurting,(disguised with a mean facade) and learn that it's not all about them, and then try and grow from that thought. Maybe start with one person, then they will see how their actions really DO affect the world.

It, unfortunately, is their way. They have been taught, somewhere, somehow, that this is the way to treat other people. Perhaps it is how they were treated. Perhaps, they were neglected, and, found that the way to power, was to take it from someone else. Either way, being shocked is not productive as it feeds their need. Try to understand, this is normal adaptive behavior given the current lack of value for human existence.

Yes, I do know someone like that: Myself, in a way.
For me, I'm only this way to people I don't know or are bothering me, so I suppose its not the same. Though I have no or very little ego - I think it was eaten by a small rabbit several years ago.
For other people...They don't care, mostly. Usually they don't have an ego - they do such things to make theirself feel powerful and its like they get a high off of it. They know we have feelings and it makes them feel superior to find the chink in someone's armor and yank the whole suit of armor off, reducing the victim to a helpless, fleshy being with little or no defences.

My old friend.
I was engaged, had a 6 month old son, and was 4 months pregnant again. My fiancee broke up with me. She knew everything that was going on in our lives. She f*cked him. She got with him. She made him love her. I had a HORRIBLE miscarriage. I had to go to hospital. Now that's what I call one cold *****.

Well, dear, I don't understand myself, but I know I'm not the one to judge, because I'm not perfect myself.
People do mistakes, whether big or small...
Well, you asked me do I know them? Yes darling...I know them, so do you, I'm sure you get what I mean...
