where is the 2007 HHR ECOTEC 2.2L DOHC four-cylinder with 149 hp engine made?

my father in law wants to buy a new hhr but he doesnt want to buy an engine that is made in china....

The HHR is assembled in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico

The 2.2 engine and the 2.4 engine are made in mexico they are the ones that got the HHR contract. All hhrs are made in mexico.
