My mom and some of her sisters never dialated and needed ceserean sections (I don't know if this is spelled right?) and I feel my body will likely be the same way. Can I request to have a cesarean done on me in my country? Thanks

Yes you can request it. It's better to deliver if you can. I had the same problem, even after being induced I never went past 3, so I had a ceserean. Just wait and see what happens, maybe you'll need a C section, maybe you won't.

You can request it, and you'll probably find that most doctors will give you one just upon request these days. I've had two (first because baby was in distress, second was an optional repeat c-section). Recovery is not as quick as with a natural birth, it will take you about 6-10 weeks to feel back to normal.

I'm sure that there have been incredible advances in medications that could help you overcome the same problem that kept your family members from being able to deliver vaginally a generation ago. You should talk to your doctor about all your options as well as your concerns and decide what is best for you.

specific you're able to have an non-obligatory c-section interior the united kingdom (on the NHS) yet they combat very difficult to deter it. you're able to desire to stick to your weapons and upward push up for what you elect and finally they'll probable agree. HOw fairly they supply in will count number on the wellbeing center coverage and the guy representative. they might 'diagnose' you with tokophobia and advise which you notice a councillor. in case you do each and every thing they ask of you and you're nonetheless adamant you elect a factor, the possibilities are high you will get it. Bringing the subsequent technology into the worldwide is an tremendously significant activity and you ought to have the final to make your ideas up on precisely the way you do it. it is your physique and you ought to exercising your suited to make your ideas up on your individual hazards and choose your individual issues. you could bypass elect to bypass privately and e book an non-obligatory section - no situation. (I fought for a c-section and finally they agreed pondering that i replaced into afraid of a organic beginning. interior the top I cancelled it on the final 2d and went the organic course - yet that's yet another tale!) good luck!!

You can request it and many doctors prefer to do a C-Section these days.

However, I strongly do not recommend that you schedule a C-Section. Try to let your baby come naturally. There are so many things that can go wrong with a C-Section.

Read this on C-Sections (you'll have to enter your email address to access the article, but it is free): http://www.mercola.com/2003/sep/27/cesarean_section.htm

Normally a c-section or cesarean is only done when medically necessary due to the dangers associated. I would talk to your doctor about your family history and they should be able to give you the best advice. Good luck

You can request it, but most ob/gyn's won't do one unless absolutely necessary. There is many unneeded complications that could arise with a cesarean. Such as infection. Also, the recovery is extremely painful and much longer. I've had one and would not have another unless my doctor thought it was necessary.

you said you're "from the US" - do you live elsewhere? the USA is about the only place you can get a schedule caesarean. talk to you doctor, everyone is different, and if you want to opt for a c-section - then ok ---- but why not wait and see if you go into labor? honestly, i'd rather have a natural delivery with an episiotomy again than a caesarean!

Make sure your doc. knows the family history. A c-section is done when there is a problem, it really isn't elective surgery. No one in their right mind would rather have a c-section than a vaginal birth!

I would wait and see what happens.
A C-Section is not as great as the stars make it out to be!
I had to have an emergency C-Section and it is the worse thing I have ever experienced!!!! And it has it's own complications that go with it.
Speak to your Dr and see what he has to say before you make any hurried and un thought out desicions!

I have had two natural deliveries and one c section, I would recommend that you try to delivery naturally first and if need be the doctor will do a c section!
