I had a breast reduction last year and now my gutt is sticking out like I'm 6 to 7 months pregnant. Will ab exercises help me to flatten my stomach or should I just forget it?

You need to do cardio exercise to get rid of that... walking is best!

A lot of people have good luck with Tae Bo--and it's fun, to boot! Dancing, walking, jogging, etc... can also help out. Ab exercises help somewhat, but they should only be a part of your exercise lifestyle. You need cardio and all the rest while you're at it to really see and feel the effects.

A good friend of mine has started doing burlesque and belly dancing classes--she's had the best time ever doing exercise in that way. Basically, just find a way that you enjoy exercising, and it'll all come around eventually--and make sure that you're eating in a healthy way, while you're at it. ;-) Best of luck!

I was told once that sit-ups will not help as much most people think. Because when you do sit-ups, it helps build muscle, but the muscle is under your fat. So you will have to lose the fat. I don't know how true that is. I have a big gut too. If you find something that works...please let me in the secret lol.

DON'T HURT YOUR BACK BY DOING SIT-UPS!!!!

You can sit on any chair,
raise your arms up so they are level with your shoulders,
sit totally upright--
and just swing your midsection back and forth, side to side,,,or,,,,dancing works wonders too-
I know you may think I am crazy, but that TV commercial that they have out for the HIP HOP ABS-
that really DOES work-
You will feel the burn in no time,,,,
and it also helps tone your rear end, hips and thighs,,,,,
trust me,,,, I have tried all kinds of stuff,,,,,,found crunches more tolerable than sit ups,,,but this dance program rocks!!!!
You can do it anytime!!!! I love to dance, so to me, I am not working out, I am doing what I love to do every day!
It is good cardio too----
take care of them new boobies,,,,,,,
and work on the new belly to go with it--
-I have put on almost 60 lbs in the past 3-4 years, and I swear it all went to my midsection, butt and thighs, I have tried, diets, and pills, and calorie counting, you name the programs, I have wasted the money on it all, but this program looked like sooo much fun,,,,,,i had to try it,,,,
and I am losing the pounds and inches like crazy,,,
just mind what you eat,,,,,dont be drastic about it, I believe you can eat almost anything so long as you do it in moderation,,,,,,no portions bigger than your fist,,,,keep your proteins up-protein builds lean muscle mass,,,helps boost metabolism,,,,,drink recommended doses of water,,,,
try to stear away from carbinated drinks, especially while hot or working out, the sodium in those things only makes you more thirsty and the 150 calories of hollow energy you just chugged, went straight to your butt and now you gotta work out another 15 minutes,,,,,
less IS more,,,,,smaller meals,,,,more often,,,,,eat 4-5 times a day instead of 3-just dont over due it, like I said, eat sensibly-
IF I CAN DO THIS YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!
Good luck hun!!!! Have fun!!!!!
