I'm conservative and I can't wait for the day that I don't have to listen to his horrible speech and look at that stupid smirk anymore.

You're wrong. The president is doing some of the few things he has authority to do. He's running a war and setting foreign policy. This is not big government, its constitutional government. Now if we can get congress to follow the constitution and quit trying to run the war.

"How can some conservatives still support Bush...?"
Conviction and resolve. I personally believe that he is doing everything he can to protect and secure America's best interests.
Withdrawal dates, pork barrel attachments to a troop funding bill, publicly stating that the war in Iraq is a lost cause, initiating bills with no chance in hell of passing and generally degrading and criticizing America's efforts in a war on terror while providing no constructive or viable options are quite a different approach to policies which are intended to strengthen and protect Americans.
Quite different.

Conservatives have taken a shift in focus from limiting governmental interferance to preventing terrorist attacks. They see the Patriot act, wire tapping, etc. as ways to prevent terrorist attacks.
I'm not agreeing with them, just explaining their view.

Willful ignorance! They refuse to see the truth! They refuse to open their eyes and look! They refuse to do the research, and even when they do, they refuse to believe even the most blatantly obvious truth! They listen to and buy into whatever propaganda is fed to them by mainstream media, and by people like Coulter, Hannity, and O'Reilly *sm*

I like having my wire tapped, and torturing a few bad guys. I'd vote for him again if he could run for office a 3rd term!

I am an American and I support the President of the United States - even if he (or, God forbid, she) is a Democrat.
