I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and moved down to Decatur, GA a year ago, and I definitely notice people noticing how different I am. The 1st they always comment on is my 'accent'...you know, we pronunce it "Noo Yawk"...LOL...they also say I'm loud and rude. I know I'm loud, but rude? I'm sorry, but I am just learning all that "yes ma'am and no sir" stuff....lol!

They also say they know I'm from NY because of the way I dress-like I'm going somewhere special all the time-but if you're from Brooklyn, you'd understand why...

Hey,I know what you mean about moving around, and the accent changes where ever you move to trying to understand everyone's ways for communication,as well as trying to find your way around the city area or state.I've been moved around so much with my family when I was younger,I begin to ask myself where I was originally born from to begin with,if I hadn't had my Birth Records on me at that point and time.It definitly took some adjustments to doing, moving from School to School, and always trying to keep in touch with people I had already met,and then all of that being taken away, once I left.It did have one advantage to all of the moving around though, and that was being able to learn about all different walks of life, different people and how they thought about others in their areas,or learning some of the cultures and histories of the people and places within the areas I traveled to,and I paid my respects to all of these types of details that I lived and learned from. You could think of everyone being unique in their own ways of life. And that's the best way to live and learn how to know the people and environment that you get placed at,is by communicating with them,so you find the good from the bad parts to life, and how to survive in the places you move to.As for where I'm at now,the people definitly like to go to the beaches and bring families and friends along to enjoy hanging out together,or just have different types of outdoor fun,and parties, especilly during all the college breaks and motorcycle rallies.Pretty Nice Motorcycles and Choppers at that,Not to mention the Ocean breeze and waves.Feels Awesome.Any ways,I hope you can enjoy all the things life has to offer,as much as I am doing now,and for the future to come.Cheers to You,and All Others that Enjoy Venturing Out Past Their Boundries in Life.Chill and Enjoy!

I am originally from Nashville Tn, I grew up wearing cotton shirts and bluejeans all the time. I also had a cute little accent that drew my words out a little longer then normal. This is what I was use to. When I moved to California, I got a ton of people commenting on my accent, saying how cute it was....well the guys thought it was cute. The women hated it! I also had to get rid of all of my cotton and figure out what polyester blends were. LOL I now live in Kansas City and since I lost a lot of my accent I tend to fit in quite well, but every once in awhile my accent "Hey Yall" will kick in...it catches people off gaurd
