How long can laser cause total blindess?

I got tazed in the eye by laser for 3secs. will it cause me lose vision?
Geting exposed in the eye for 5sec is harmless?

It all depends on the type of laser used. The problem with laser (of any kind) is that because of it's coherent nature of the ray, it does not disperse like ordinary lights.

No matter how far the source was, you get the full amount of energy at the target less loss.

If it was something like a laser pointer, you are probably OK, but if it was anything more, you should get checked out by an optometrist.

By the way, if you can still see, you won't have total blindness in your future. The worst you'll get is a spot in your vision - and even that is unlikely.
