I think you should be up when they come in the door, but act like you just got done doing something, so they don't think you were waiting up on them. Then act supprised when they come in, show em' where the food is and calmly walk out of the room. Don't forget to keep an ear out for suspisious noises, like heavy breathing and such. And peek out the door every once in a while. oh....
and don't forget to givem the once over, when they get there. You know, ...look for love marks?!!

Unless you plan on staying up all night until about 7:00 A.M. the next morning, then you might as well go to bed.

Chances are you won't sleep anyway. Stay in bed....They are going to be too tired to talk and if they are anything like I was, they won't be home until the next morning--have breakfast ready!

Hi, and stay up to let them in and direct them to the munchies and go to bed with the door cracked, maybe...that's just me. I don't have a teenager yet! Just be cool and don't embarrass him, well, maybe a little but nothing too memorable :)...I know, I know...give them crunchy food so you can hear them...no......stay up enough to say good-night and show them where they are to sleep(yikes!)
Good luck...wish I could be of more help!

well, if you raised good decent kids, then you can probably just go to bed. but before they leave, let them know they can wake you up if they choose, to tell you about the prom when they get home. if your not sure, then maby be in bed, but awake so you can know whats going on, and be there if trouble starts.

you should stay up, but if you see through the window that they had a terrible time or a wonderful time, stay out of it, go to bed, and pretend to be sleeping.
