The Torah and the Christian New Testament are also referred to as perfect or flawless since they are believe to be the divine and direct word of G-d. If one is to believe they are the divine words of G-d, it follows they must be perfect. Whether or not one believes this (in any of these cases) is a separate matter.

I wouldn't call it that - and I HAVE read it in translation.
I can't comment on the poetry of it, but I can comment on the presentation. The Christian Bible has at least got a beginning, middle and end. The Quran hasn't. It's a collection of so-called revelations traditionally assembled in diminishing order of length - a very unsystematic treatment of a very systematic religion.

says who, muhammad?
it is the most plagiarized book on the planet.....40% of it comes from christianity, another 40% comes from judiasim, and 20% comes from the eastern religions such as the story of hindu festival 'holi' and........manu and the great flood which was copied by western religions. in arbic 'manu' even translates to 'noah' (noahs arch).
so no, its not the perfect book....it doesn't even come close. i think harry potter books are more believable then all religious 'holly' books.

I have never heard anyone say that before.
Have you read the 'Tao Te Ching' by Lao-Tsu (or Lao Zi)?
It is a perfectly-written book.

Because Muslims believe the Qur'an, in its original Arabic, to be the literal word of Allah revealed to Muhammad.
