You don't often have an opportunity to ask a perfect stranger about his opinions on controversial subjects. Here you do. It's a way of finding out what other people think and how they think. It's also a way of sharing your knowledge and experience. I think it's fun. Why are you on this site?

I came because I miss the old disscussion board at yahoo. Only been hear a couple of days and probably won't spend much more. Too many little kids that should not even be on a computer. Life is too freakin short.

I'm only a professional parent, so I don't have the specific info you're looking for...but we want to know what other people think and I love reading answers...I laugh every time I read them...someone always has something silly or goofy to say... a great release of tension of boredom.....to laugh....lol

I get all kinds of useful information on here, ranging from professional advice to crazy quirky stuff. I also get a kick out of floating a question and seeing a bunch of different opinions that may never have occured to me.

could be many reasons, it is fun, can be educational, can be a safe social interaction for lonely people, fun to answer and see if you get a best answer, feels good to help people if they seem to need it or be in pain, by answering help seeking questions. maybe to find answers of philosophical nature or practical nature. In life I always have questions I can't answer, most of them dealing with computers. There's so many people here, that someone always has something to say about my question.
