There is no such thing as a "master password", for Windows XP.

If you are the administrator and have set a password code for your pc to load your program, there would be no logic for passwords. The master password if there was one, would allow anybody to by-pass your password to log onto your pc.

Perhaps I don't understand your question, if I do, then there is no logic in your question!!. How are you able to be on ansers if you are unable to remember your password??,

There is a very short process if u can assure that password is less than 8 characters and only lower case alphabets are used in password. -- Brute force.

Actually Brute Force is applicable for all type of characters, but as the set of different type of characters keep increasing, your software will take more to more time say .... 1 minute to 100 years ..... as it is simply a all permutation and combination process.

You can use 'Cane' software for your XP system to find all user accounts user information including password.
Say, if your password is less than 8 characters including lower case alphabets only, total time taken will be appro. 1 hour.(total combinations tried will be : 26^8 = 208827064576)
where total characters are 8 of 26 type.

If it is of any type of 15 length => 80^15 = 1677721600000000. approximately 334 days.

Note: It all depends on your computer speed.

no , but what u can do is this, download the program ophcrack from the internet somewhere, (it works) be sure that u have a disk imaging software, to create a live CD image, burn that image to a fresh CD-R , take this disk and put it into the locked box, boot from the CD and you will retrieve the password hash, the steps to translate the hash are in the program be sure to record them because i lost them and i have 10 hashed passwords that i can't crack now, anyway get the program do what i told and u will have your password,
the program is easy to understand, also if u have no idea what a disk imager is download infrarecorder from the internet both programs are free and easy to find.

Reload the computer, and next time make it something you can remember.

You can buy a program, reloading is free.
