There are several flowers that bloom for just a day, the day lily and morning glories are two of them. The lily grows with on a stalk with spikey leafs surrounding it. The morning glories are easier than easy to grow. They grow on vines and come in a variety of colors, blues, pinks, purples and white ones. And there is actually a plant called a Moon Flower, however it only blooms at night. It's really pretty cool. Jill Marie

some flowers close at night and open in the day, but not all. Some flowers actually bloom only at night, and close for the day (moonflowers, and I believe some species of flowering cacti...but I'm not 100% sure). Some flowers only bloom in the morning (morning glories) and then close for the heat of the day.

Yes as it starts to get dark, the flowers start to close for the night and they wake up in the morning and bloom again. bettyk

God does it by his power. It is the same power that makes a tiny root break up a 4 inch thick sidewalk when a man needs a big machine and a lot of sweat.
