This happens sometimes. For instance...I just asked the question that stated. . . " I know that soy milk is made from the soy plant. . . yet how is it actually made? Is it pressed like juice from a orange or carrot ? If so why is it called soy milk and not soy juice ? "

A reply came in stating " If vegans drink it than no harm is brought to animals and soy milk is made from soy ".

I already stated in my question that I knew that soy milk was made from the soy plant. In the persons reply there was no mention in the answer of HOW " milk " is derived from soy. Why do some replies come in that very clearly not address the specific question asked ? ! ! The two points ?

Can you now see the problem? So many can't even read a question! :-) and so can't answer it!

They did not answer the question because they did not know the answer.. it is that simple.. soy milk is made from the soy bean.. basically the beans are soaked over night and then pureed.. the solids are the seperated from the liquid and disposed of .. the liquid is boiled for a few minutes and then cooled.. and viola.. you have soy milk.. when you ask a question and get an answer that is, lets say less than intelligent, it is from an uninformed person who just wants to pick up a point or it is from a really un-intelligent person period.. as Forrest Gump would say.. Stupid is as Stupid does!

I think a lot of people half read the questions and see only what they want to see. Maybe the subject of the question is a matter dear to their hearts (this one sounds like a vegetarian), and they just want a chance to expound on the subject.

Incidentally, I have no idea how they make soy milk, but maybe it's called milk because it looks more like milk than juice.

Hmm, perhaps they did not understand the question or they read it wrong. I could think of other less complimentary reasons, but I think I'll leave it at that. Hope you find out how soy milk is made, also.

There are a lot of immature people answering questions. Some just want the 2 points like you said.

"Ahh, who's counting?" "If I told you I'm afraid I'd have to kill you." "That's for me to know and for you not to worry about." Just joke about something like that to get around answering. That should work, because few people will want to seem too pushy to know. It still beats me though why some people are so sensitive about their age. We all get older, it's normal and nothing to be ashamed of. I know such questions can get tirening though. I personally don't mind people asking about my age, but I'm completely fed up with questions regarding when I'm going to have children.

Sometimes people don't take the time out to read all of the question as well as sometimes they do but they just see the opportunity go gain two points at your expense so they go for it.

Sorry.
