I was recently insulted because of my politcal values, and I must say that it really hurt. The fealing is probibly similar to being insulted because of skin color, but I wouldn't know for sure.

They said somthing like "I can't believe you would be stupid enough to vote for the ******** party," and it didn't stop there. I think they were just trying to pick a fight.

Yeah, there's a political science major at my work that RIPS on me constantly for my political beliefs. He has twisted the facts and figures so badly to make his point but I feel inequipped to argue with him. I feel like I need to put on a mental ammo belt every time I work with him.

Not very often. just when I sign onto Yahoo Answers and anything remotely related to politics. Someone always tries to get a jab in almost every possible area of yahoo answers. hatred know no bounds.
The attack dogs jump on anything to get their politics across.

My fiance's dad teases me all the time because of my political opinions, but what goes around comes around and I burn him every day for being an extreme right wing facist pig.

yes, i have. and i know exactly how you feel. i think that it is really unfair because we should be able to believe in what we want to and vote for what we want to. we all are different people and we all have our different feelings and beliefs. and i applaud you for standing up for your political values.

I respect the right of others to have their own political views.... just don't try to push them on me, or ridicule me because I have my own beliefs....
