I ask this due to the shortage of workers for resorts and landscapers. Work visas have been denied to many Mexicans and other immigrants that usually do these jobs. I think this would be a good job for teenagers. So would you?

I'm 16 and work for minimum wage, which is 7.15 around here. If you offered a teenager a rate at or a bit above minimum wage in your area, I'm sure you would find a few interested people. You might want to get cleared before you start standing around outside of a highschool though, I know my school would have you arrested or something. Make sure the kids know what sort of job it is theyre applying for and everything, and good luck.

I would consider what is your state's legal age to work, minimum wage per hour and if you'd enjoy it. The hotel industry can be brutal especially if you're in a high traffic area.

The industry itself relies on great workers otherwise business would not prosper. Nobody on vacation/trip wants to have cruddy service or stay in a run-down kind of location.

It's a great opportunity because you meet all kind of travelers so weigh your options. Make sure your choices are in line with your income goals and doesn't interfere with your other activities.

Best wishes to you!

Not having been a teenager, I wouldn't work for six bucks an hour. I just read where Walmart is paying $10.50 an hour to start.
