Wireless Connection & IM's?

Question

I use a wirless connection to use the Net on my Laptop.

I have a problem conecting to IM's and Games, and if they do connect, the connection drops within a few minutes.

And the Internet & Wireless does work, because while this happens I am still able to surf the net and download & etc.....

Any possible fixes?

Is this your own wifi or a wifi service?

Some wifi providers cut down on IM and Games due to the bandwidth required to support them, other wireless systems only connect "on need" and if no traffic is running drops your card till it requests something. It is the nature of the system which is why in many cases VOIP does not work etc.

If you have your own system check the router and upgrade the firmware.. if that isn't the issue you need a router that keeps all wireless connections active regaurdless of traffic to and from it.

If it says unsecured then it ability it isn't a chance-free connection. If someone properly experienced in pcs had to, they could get into your computing device. i exploit a chance-free cable connection.
