I want a leader, not a pin-up. I'd rather hear someone drone on and on, if their actions were right, than someone that can charm crowds and not know what they are doing.

Edit: No favs yet... still watching them.

At this moment I do not have a favorite candidate. The Office of President demands both qualities, since the President is the lead statesman for the country. On the experience question, I would be interested to know if their is a job posting description. Does the President have to possess a degree, many great ones have not. What is the qualifications of President? Surely, the qualifications have changed since Thomas Jefferson to George Bush.

The most important thing in being a president is experience. The most important think in becoming a president is charisma and mudslinging.

I think neither! Experience is more important than charisma, of course, but the most important of all has to be honesty, and integrity! Also, I am not sure, yet who I am going to support! I need to take the time to check out voting records to see who truly believes the things that I believe! *sm*

The ability to lead and the charisma to express that leadership. currently have an open mind to canidates from both parties, though leaning toward a democrat for the popular reasons...I really liked the Al Franken videos on YouTube several months ago...to bad he's not running :)

Experience in what...being a president? We will not have that choice this time.

I do not consider charisma in my choice but I think a lot of Americans are persuaded by it, unfortunately.

I have not selected a favorite yet.

Both are needed in equal proportions...
The experience is needed to know what needs to get done, and the best way to do them; the charisma is needed to get it done.
Example: the American B-1 bomber was originally a Jimmy Carter project that he didn't have the charisma to get passed through Congress.. .Ronald Reagan came into power, and immediately got it run through, and was given credit for it... when it was someone else's idea.

Well if someone chooses experience I just want to point out that Hillary Clinton has the most White House experience out of all of it. Charisma only gets you so far.

Experience. If I wanted charisma I would elect Colin Firth.
