why are you asking? I doubt very much if "Blacks" invented rodeo. Rodeo was truly a Spanish sport from as far back as the 12th Century; riding in a bull ring preceding a bull fight and also riding horses and bulls on ranches is a very Spanish invention. The very word is a Spanish derivation ...

In this country, the first "cowboys" were probably of Spanish derivation. But ranch hands had to learn how to rope steers and break bulls so they could be used to breed. Ranches in the far west began the "rodeo" as we know it, and there were, trust me, very few African Americans on western Ranches.

But should it really matter?
