No way!! I've done the same thing in fact I did it with the sisterhood of the travelling pants too (good series!).
i love books that do this to me. They are so good and sometimes you need something that just takes you away to another life - from the comfort of you favourite chair! If this happens to me, at the end I feel so relaxed and ready to take on a life challenge, it's like getting a mini vacation.

You know what I say? Of course you're obsessed, and thankfully your obsession is reading and you stumbled on some good books. I say GO FOR IT! Reading is good for you.
Don't worry too much unless you get to the point where you forget everything else. Who knows? Maybe Yahoo Answers will become an obsession, too!
My Mom used to (and probably still does) read while watching television. I buy and sell books now and LOVE that I have a stack of books waiting for me to get to.

I finished a Harry Potter book in four hours, straight through. It means it's a good book. If you continue doing nothing but reading book after book like that, neglecting the rest of your life, THAT would be obsessive.

Naw, it just means you find the world of books more fulfilling than television or your life at the moment. You might want to add more to your knowledge by reading some biographies, including fictional ones. Don't be shy about picking up biographies written for young adults. They go must faster and are just as informative on the important things. Oh, and try Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey. It will lead you in new directions and entertain you, too.

Depends on; -what day (am i busy, do i have school, or is it one of those holiday-days with nothing to do?) -Which book, i.e: is it interesting and sucks me in? +have i already read it which makes it easier to re-read -my mood, if i'm really pissed or sad I won't be able to concentrate. But yes, if all those pan out, I'd be able to read a couple of books a day because I'm a speed reader (which only happens with practice and nothing else)

I wouldn't say it's obsessive. It's great that you read them all in a week (and that you like reading), but those are very easy books to read. I read the last Harry Potter book in half a day, but it was a very simple read. If you're a fast reader, then you can usually read easy books like SotTP or HP quickly. I am a fairly quick reader - can read a Shakespeare play in one to two hours but something like Milton's "Paradise Lost" or Beowulf takes me forever. It all depends on how easy or hard the book is to read.
But, again, it's great that you enjoy reading! :)

I do it all the time, amongst many other things. If you do nothing else, then it's an obsession, but if it's just one of many things you do, or only something you do occasionally, then it's not an obsession.
You may be obsessed with this series though. If you've now read it all then you won't be further obsessed.

No, its not obsessive at all! I read the Harry Potter books about that quick, too. When the book is good, you just can't put it down! I know exactly how it feels!

No, it's not obsessive, or, hell maybe it is. However, the point is that if you keep reading at that rate you are probably going to run out of books that you are interested in
