I have a horrible time trying to do something and stick with it. Like exercising for instance, I start and do it for a while, but when I see no results, I get frustrated, eat more, and stop exercising. Even when I've done so for months and months, with no result, I just give up. It's like I find it easier to quit, thinking things won't change, than to fight and wait patiently for something more positive to happen.
I just have a hard time trying to tell myself NO or do something that I know is for the best. I am stuck in a comfort zone and I want out! What are some ways I can kick my own butt into gear and take charge of life???

it already sounds like you were taking charge of your own life, but things like losing weight take time. You have already proven to yourself that you can set a schedule, now just take it one step further. Make a schedule for yourself. If you have a daytimer, make a schedule everyday and stick to it.

Instead of focusing on what you can't do, look at what you did do for months.

best of luck

Try keeping a log and maybe a diary. Write down when you exercise and for how long. Also write down how much you eat and drink, what time you go to bed and get up. Get a calendar book or something like that to write in. Also weight yourself regularly, but realize you may not lose weight or gain muscle everyday.
Realize and think hard on this one thing: Discipling yourself means changing your lifestyle, not just today, not for a week, a month, a year, your life. You want to be disciplined the rest of your life. That means you have have to change the way you live. Otherwise, give up now and accept who you are and will be. If you decide to change, accept who you are and who you can become. This is not a judgment, because either is good. Whatever you do, you have to accept yourself and be happy with who you are. Once you are happy with who are you are, you can find the strength to do anything.

You just got to be patient and find more efficient ways to do stuff like exercising cause, if it doesnt work try it differently. Its better to fight for somthing positive to happen than to wait because who knows how long it will take , waiting may take even longer than taking charge of things. so try getting into the habit of doing what you should do,things will usually only change if you make them.

You need a physical to rule out any health problems that might have an effect on losing weight. Depending on your age your metabolism may have slowed down also.
Look at the total picture before you give up

there might be something wrong with your exercise routine that you're not seeing results that long. try also to try other routine coz you might be bored of doing the same thing everyday. it's you who need to motivate yourself. set a goal and try to achieve it and promise yourself that you will bot give up. you can do it. good luck!
