Oh yes!! I pray with great meaning all the time. I know Jesus answers my prayers. And to those who say it doesn't work....it is not that He doesn't answer...just that you may not get the answer you want. It is a hard decision I am sure for Jesus to take loved ones from us or our jobs etc.Pets.... But He does listen just that you can't always get a positive answer for all your prayers. But just remember there is ALWAYS a reason for everything that He decides. It may not be a decision we choose but it always turns out for the best. I know that can be hurtful to us but ....That's life. But Jesus DOES answer all prayers. I hope this helps! God Bless you!

I pray regularly. However, when my son was deathly ill, I have to say this was a particularly strong flurry of prayers. Finally, I came to realize that whatever happened was God's will, and He would help me through it...If my son were handicapped, or whatever. My son lived; the doctors call him a miracle, and I do believe it.

I also have to say I prayed fervently to become pregnant with another child; this I prayed for many years, but it never happened. (Our son is adopted and a great blessing.) Although at times it is very difficult to accept, I keep in mind that God is all-knowing, so He knows why His answer is "no." Maybe I would give birth to a child that died, and that would be too painful; maybe I would die in childbirth, leaving my 2 motherless; maybe my 2 children need all the attention I can give. (I was actually thankful to have only one other child to think about during the year that I had to nurse my son back to health.)

We can pray with all our heart and soul for something, but if it doesn't turn out the way we prayed, then is the time to pray with heart and soul for God's peace and for trust in Him.

Blessings to you.

Yes!
And I am grateful for everything God has given me!
I remember when I was a kid I went to church EVERY single day and prayed for a little sister. And a few years later THERE SHE IS! I pray EVERY single day. And I thank for everything and I ask for things too.
All you need to do is have FAITH and PATIENCE!

Yes....I let my son out to play, he didn't come home when he was supposed to...I was beside myself with fear for him and kept saying 'please let him come home......' again and again.

I couldn't go to work until he was safe home.

When he walked through the door, I let him know how disappointed I was and how worried....he is still not allowed out now, that was last year.

I kept saying 'Thank You' on my way to work.... but thanking who????

I think in times of great fear or emotional stress, peeps do without acknowledging it pray....'Please God help.......?'

X

Every morning and every night. And I talk to God all throughout the day. The Bible says " be in constant prayer". That doesn't mean on your knees 24/7, it just means to keep God in your thoughts, requests and to continue to thank him for all he does all through the day.
