Japanese Maple root generator?

Question

We planted two Japanese Maples last month and on the advice of people answering questions here, we used some root generator (or stimulator??). It has rained a lot here lately and we were wondering if we should continue using it for the first year or if it is good now...there ARE new leaves on both of them.

I have never used a root stimulator , I have used Root Hormone, I don't know if they work the same or not...read the directions or see if they have a web site to answer that question or a 800 phone number .
PS Lucky You, I lost 4 japanese maples in that last cold freeze I have 2 left that haven't quite been killed.
