almost mother's day!

My heart goes out to those who answered saying their mother's didn't want them etc...and yes for some people unfortunately its not true... but it should be true & that must hurt them all the more.
My mum died nearly 13 years ago and the love we shared cannot be described in words. I was very lucky to have that amazing love, even if it was for only 20 years of my life. But the void left after losing it can never be truly filled.

My Mum couldn't give a stuff about either me or my sister
She did nothing when her boyfriend was hurting us, or when he sexually assaulted my sister at 18 years old,
He once broke a plate on my head,
She put me in care when I was 13 cos I objected to being hurt
I'm now 28 and she'll never see my 3 daughters or even know that I just had a baby
I drove past her house yesterday as I was showing my kids where I came from
She's still with him

You betcha. Mine's dead ... sheesh ... a long time now. This coming weekend will make about 15 logs we've carved her name on one. Kind o' cute. It used to be illegal to carve stuff on logs but since we started breaking the rules it's hard to find a log that hasn't been carved on. Now they bring the logs in special just for carving mementos. Hope there's a decent one left for our family next weekend.
