What happened to men opening doors for women?
What happened to giving up your seat for an elderly person?
What happened to letting someone go ahead of you on the road?
What happened to having honor and respect for the Flag?
What happend to even though disagreeing with a president but respecting his position?
it seems like its all gone? When did it go?

When you find out let me know. I think it left with prayer in school, and the pledge of allegiance. Some hard core Atheists are even trying to get the word God removed from currency. There are too many rights groups out there now. Disrespect breeds disrespect. I believe respect begins at home. If you don't respect yourself... you certainly won't respect anyone else. Sad... I am from the old school when you had BETTER have respect for others. Now that I am older... I see some people just don't deserve it. All you can do about it is respect those around you and demand it in return.

Now a days, People are more selfish and more for their own wellness. Society doesn't put enough emphasis on respect and compassion. They put to much of it on 'looking out for # 1'. I think it is very sad and that is why I raise my children the way I was raised. they do open doors and give up their seats and have honor in the flag.
Did I mention they are 17, 10, &9?

The structure of society starts at homee. Kids aren't taught respect anymore at hom. Children talk back to their parents with little or no consequence or fear. These disrespecting self centered children grow up and now this is the problem we have to face.
