Lose with honor and you must still support the student government.

You move on. Take down your signs if you haven't, and move on.

Do something for yourself.

Being a class officer may be nice, but it isn't the end all.

No point in being mad about anything. Class officership has always been about who's most popular.

Take heart in this: I am a high school math teacher, and I actually dislike many student government members. In general, they think they are an entitled bunch, that can get out of classwork to make posters and watch movies. Personally, I think you are better off without being involved.

Go have fun and enjoy your life! Don't forget to study hard so you can get in a good college.

Deal with the fact that you lost and get over it. It's not the end of the world and I thought High School elections have always been about popularity. Good luck in your future, that is what I would focus on now not whether or not you are VP of your class. Sounds like you are getting ready to graduate, isn't that the most important thing?

i'm sorry, but it doesn't sound like there's anything you can do. democracy is a b*tch sometimes...

is there another way that you can get involved? you probably don't want to just be a committee member at this point, but i guess you have to ask yourself if you care about helping make things happen or if you only wanted to be in charge. if it's the second thing, you might just have to wait until the next election rolls around.

Accept defeat gracefully.

Self-control is a hallmark of leadership. Sit back, watch the winner screw things up; but say nothing.

It's a good skill -- all great leaders have it. When you run for state legislature in the years to come, such discipline will garner you much respect.
