Jason traveled 123 miles, driving 58 mph. Thus he drove for 123/58 = 2.12 hours. Two times this is 4.24 hours. 88 minutes is 88/60 = 1.47 hours. 88 minutes less than 4.24 hours is
4.24 - 1.47 = 2.77 hours.
It took Michele 2.77 hours (about 166 1/2 minutes) to get to the beach.

Well first you have to find the time Jason took to go to the beach. He drove at 58 mph so the time is 123/58, which is 2 hours and 7/58hours. Twice the time is 4 hours and around 14 minutes. 88 minutes less is around 3 hours and 46 minutes.

First, you can figure out how long Jason took to drive, since he drove 123 miles at 58 mph, which is a shade over 2 hours. What ever it is, 2*JT-88 is the time Michele took. JT is Jason's Time

It took Jason 2 hr. 7 min. to get to the beach because you divide miles (123) by miles per hour (58). 123/58=2.12 then you need to convert 0.12 to minutes, so multiply 0.12*60=7. So you take Jasons time, 2 hr. 7 min. =127 min and multiply by two then subtract 88 to get Michele's time. Michelle's time will be 166 minutes, or 2 hrs. 46 min.

Let's start with Jason.

(distance in miles) / (time in miles per hour) = time in hours
123 miles / 58 mph = time in hours
time in hours = 2.12 hours = 127 minutes

Michele drove to the beach in 2(127 minutes) - 88 minutes, or 166 minutes which is 2.77 hours.

123/58= 2.12 hours = 127 minutes for Jason's trip

127*2=254 - 88= 166 minutes or 2.76 hours for Michelle to get there.

Jason's time is the distance divided by his speed. Twice that minus 88 minutes gives Michele's time. The basic formula is distance equals speed multiplied by time.

B is the main spectacular answer. You deduce from observations already made. You bring about before you're making the observations (utilising logical reasoning), then make certain your reasoning after.

2x-88minutes= Michele's Time

123M/58MPH= Jason's Time

Jason takes 2.12 hours

Michele takes 2(2.12hours)-88minutes
2(2.12)- 88minutes/60min/hour
4.24 - 1.467
2.77 hours
