I love people in my life and hate being alone except for ME times when I need to unwind.No-one should be alone we all need someone.

Rather than being in a relationship? I guess that depends, generally yes in my own experience. I am single and have been for a while which I feel I'm better off being. But I am alone too having lost all my immediate family and the rest living hundres of miles away - and in that regard, no. Its horrible being alone with no-one to fall back on.

I've done both and for now I prefer alone. I do think it is nice to have someone to travel with or do something, like go out to eat, the movies, the fair etc, but on an every day basis, I do prefer to be alone.

I can survive alone and have for many, many years, but I am not a solitary person. I have now been blessed with the most wonderful man in my life. I'm better off with his love :)

Solitary confinement is one of the harshest punishments used by correctional facilities.

Under that guise alone I'd say that being alone for extended periods of time would not be good for your health.

I think the antarctic explorers used to call it 'cabin fever'.

I think it is good to be alone at times to clear your mind and be refreshed and I think that it is good for me to be sociable and get with people and have a good time.
