What do you consider needs rather than wants?

Needs are merely means, where wants are the ends. I want to live, therefore I need food, water and shelter. I want a new TV, so I need to work and save up money.
Basically what I need, depends on what I want. A big want for me right now is to go to college, so I need to save up money and start applying for grants and scholarships.

Human needs are states of felt deprivation. They includes basic physical needs of food, clothing, warmth, and safety; social needs for belonging and affection; and individual needs for knowledge and self-expression. These needs are not invented by marketers;they are a basic part of the human makeup.

there are "needs" and then "metaneeds"
needs (survival) : 1 food 2 security (shelter+clothes)
metaneeds (wants) : 3 love 4 health 5 money 6 knowledge

"want" is a parent of "need". Both from glorious family of s.h.i.t,if left alone , neglected to notice, creates nothing but suffering , anger, more needs. If developed creates a line of negative faculties for beholder, such as lie, theft, dishonesty and so on...
Desire is not wanting, but creates healthy movement in order to reach a goal of desire if recognized.
By the way we do not "need" even God, speaking of one of the answers in here... God simply is whether we need it or not and opportunity to join Him is always open to any of us..Notice , join not religious structure for God is God and religion is religion...By joining a religion you joining nothing but religion to serve...for God is not a religion...That what people often do by having needs, looking in wrong directions...Sinsere non-judgmental desire only requirement to meet Him.

needs- basic food, clean water, basic clothing, stable shelter, fresh air.
wants- everything that isn't on the list above.

beer "need,"......topless dancer getting it for me "want" guy at the bar screaming last call, "unwanted" life throws the good and bad at you sometimes, but for everything else there's "MASTER CARD".
